Screening Parameters Trips designated as screening trips will involve mounting crystals and taking two exposures for the purpose of indexing and creating a collection strategy. They will not involve data set collections unless there is adequate time. Our MAD data collection strategy can be found on a different page.
These parameters produce images which are ~2.0 Å at the edge and ~1.6 Å in the corners. Other parameters can be accommodated if necessary; however, in the interests of time these should be limited to only those considered absolutely necessary. Collimator changes are particularly discouraged as they are very time consuming. Smaller changes, like those of wavelength and exposure times, are less time consuming but still require new dark currents to be collected, increasing the collection times by at least a factor of two. Scans for MAD experiments should be requested in the database entries. |
